My brother has been doing these cartoon characters for years. He started playing with the end of a light strand and drawing in the air... While I kept increasing my shutter speed he was practicing with his point of reference. I started with a shutter speed of 8 and by the end of our second session I was at 20. About half way through he used a mitt to enable breaks in his light. I think these are pretty good considering it's all free hand in the air!
